The Famous Comodo Firewall has been long to offer freely Internet Security version. I has been love with Comodo because it good. Although it has a few bugs, but the bugs can be tolerate. Until few days ago.
The first time Comodo has release it’s Internet Security version 3.8 beta, I have been install it. That time, I was using Windows 7, where the compatible firewall is still rare. I hope that Comodo Internet Security 3.8 beta is making the new age to firewall and antivirus for Windows 7 beta.
But, the Comodo 3.8 beta has one most irritating bug. This bug is related with Delphi 2009. This bug is about the heuristic function of the Comodo Antivirus that suspect file with extention BPL virus. The BPL file is just a ordinary Delphi 2009 files. See Gambar 1.
There are a few solutions to fix this bug. The easiest and most expensive is by disable Comodo Antivirus and buy another antivirus. The second solution is by turn off the heuristic function of Comodo Antivirus. The last solution is by put the Delphi 2009 folder in to Comodo Antivirus Exception. I was hoping Comodo will get rid this bug in the final version, but they didn’t. I hope they will release a patch or a new build to address this bug.

Comodo Firewall yang terkenal itu sudah sejak lama menawarkan versi Internet Security secara gratis. Saya sangat senang dengan Comodo karena cukup handal. Walau memiliki beberapa bug, tapi masih bisa ditoleransi. Sampai akhir-akhir ini.
Pada awal-awal Comodo mengeluarkan versi 3.8 beta, saya langsung mencoba. Waktu itu saya menggunakan Windows 7, dimana firewall yang bisa digunakan masih langka. Saya berharap Comodo 3.8 beta ini membaca angin segar bagi antivirus dan firewall untuk Windows 7 beta.
Namun, Comodo 3.8 beta ini memiliki 1 bug yang sangat menganggu. Bug ini berhubungan dengan Delphi 2009. Bug ini adalah fungsi heuristik dari Comodo Anvirus yang menyangka file .BPL adalah virus. Padahal file itu hanyalah file Delphi 2009 biasa. Lihat gambar 1.

Untuk mengatasi bug itu ada beberapa solusi. Solusi paling mahal dan gampang adalah mematikan antivus Comodo dan menginstall antivirus lain. Solusi kedua adalah mematikan fungsi heuristik dari antivirus Comodo. Solusi ketiga adalah memasukkan semua folder Delphi 2009 kedalam exclusion list. Pada waktu itu saya mengira bug ini akan hilang pada versi 3.8 final, tapi ternyata masih ada. Alangka baiknya kalau bug ini diperbaiki.
